Housing in Great South Coast
With tourism booming in the Great South Coast, real estate has proven to be a particularly good investment in certain areas. There are still, however, very affordable houses in rural and residential settings.
For example, a three-bedroom home within walking distance of a school starts as low as $80,000 in some localities. A luxury home in a prestigious area starts at about $200,000 and goes up to about $500,000 in popular coastal areas.
Dedicated aged and disability housing is available in both supported and independent facilities.
Most of the region’s shires offer existing housing and vacant blocks in rural settings of five acres and larger.
