Gippsland’s community is spoiled for choice throughout the year with major events such as the Latrobe Spring Racing Carnival, the Gippsland Writer’s Festival, Maffra Mardi Gras, the Prom Country Slow Food Festival, and Baw Baw's Harvest of Gippsland Festival and Chilli Festival, the region also has numerous arts festivals.
The West Gippsland Arts Centre at Warragul is a 500 seat performing arts complex where you can see the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra or Sydney Dance Company perform or other shows from around the world. The region is dotted with art galleries, cinemas and museums, as well as top class restaurants representing an enviable cross-section of cuisines.
