"We've noticed the difference in so many ways. There's a real sense of community here."
Andrew Barber, Research Scientist, Burra Foods, Korumburra
"My grandfather was born in Korumburra , but frankly I knew very little about Prom Country.
Then I had the opportunity to join Burra Foods. I knew they were doing big things both locally and internationally. It was time for Sally and myself to sit down and do our homework.
About a year and a half ago, we decided to rise to the new challenge. Its been well worth the move. Soon after I started my job, Sally found a great job too. South Gippslands simply a brilliant place to work and play.
Weve noticed the difference in so many ways. Theres a real sense of community here. The tennis club takes you as it finds you. And you dont need to be a millionaire to play on a golfing paradise. Yet within 90 minutes we can be at Telstra Dome hearing the mighty roar go up for the Kangaroos.
Our city friends love coming our way too, especially during the Slow Food Festival.
Why wouldnt you? The restaurants and wineries are up there with Victorias best.
But the best thing is jogging on the beach together, knowing theres only fresh ocean air between us and home.
Weve made it happen so can you."
